Final Project: 911
Data Prototype
Objective:
develop
a complex ArcView application from start to finish with a classmate

This application supports a city's need to create a roads layer to support their
911 system. Each road segment stores the road's name, direction, type (Ave.,
Rd., etc.), and address ranges. The parcel layer in the above image serves as
the backdrop for the road digitizing. The customized application improves both
speed and accuracy of data entry for digitizing. To begin the process, the user
must click the icon in the Editor toolbar called 'Open_911Form' as indicated
by the black arrow in the image above.
After inputting
the staff ID, the user may begin digitizing. After doing so,
the attributes must be filled in and the form (shown above) aids in data entry.
It includes drop-down menus and checks to ensure that valid entries have been
made.
The final
code and user
instructions were created in a team environment.
